This is from the bill “This bill creates an additional adjustment to local tax caps based on inflation and population changes.  The bill also establishes procedures for adoption of a budget cap by school districts.”  This bill was passed, despite Baldwin’s negative vote and signed by Governor Sununu in August, 2024.  it allows each town or school district to vote to have a cap on the additional amount each year on the respective budget.  The bill does not mandate a tax cap, rather it allows each town or school district to decide for themselves if they want it.  The revised state law, i.e. RSA is HERE, look for 32.5.

This bill is PRO CHOICE.  It is interesting that every democrat in the House voted against allowing each town or school district to decide for themselves.
